Welcome back David Richter

It is with great pleasure that I welcome back David Richter to the Briess Family as Technical Marketing Manager for the Brew Division. David originally joined Briess in 2006 as the Division Manager for Brew West and spent ten years with us.

David has logged over 20 years of experience in the craft brewing segment and like a lot of commercial brewers he took his high school homebrew experience from the mid 80’s and parlayed it into a job. Starting as head brewer of two locations with the Hops Brewhouse & Grill group in the early 90’s, he helped the business grow to 75 breweries across the U.S. as Director of Brewing and Beverage supporting 45 staff brewers and winning medals at both the WBC and GABF. David is a GABF competition judge as well as teaching brewing coursework at University California – San Diego and the Oregon State University Extension program.

In his new role, David will enhance the customer experience through active listening and engagement with the brewing community. He will be in tune with the customer’s needs which will lead to new innovating products and expanded offerings from Briess, to help our customers grow. He will also create an engaging dialog with brewers through participation in industry events and increased resources through Briess online.

Please join me in welcoming the return of David to the Briess family.
