This past week Briess again sponsored the Brewers Dinner to kick off the 4-day Oregon Brewers Guild Festival in Portland, OR.  Now in its 24th year this festival attracts 80,000 beer lovers over 4 days with beers from 80 different breweries (one each).  This is such a wonderful festival compared to some as it’s FREE to get in and you only purchase wooden tokens for what you want to sample rather than the common beer festival “I’ve got to drink my $45 dollar tickets worth” of one-ounce samples.  The exclusive Brewers Dinner is a great industry-only event that also takes place under the tents on the Willamette River.  As usual, Rogue Brewing brought in their 2 giant smokers and had both smoked salmon and smoked pork which was only made better by the 20 pounds of malted milk balls I brought to serve with dinner!

OBG Fest cask was Bridgeport Stumptown Tart!
