Briess Malt & Ingredients Co. is seeking a Division Manager to lead its South Division sales efforts. The Division Manager will be home office-based and will ideally be located somewhere in the South Division geography which covers 5 states (LA, MS, AL, GA and FL).

Achieve budgeted sales and profitability goals within the framework of the company’s overall business objectives; develop and execute growth plans for all major existing and prospective customers; develop pricing strategies for assigned division; target, prospect and develop new key brew accounts; grow existing customers; monitor, report and address competitive and industry activity; perform and/or arrange all technical service support for assigned accounts; attend and/or make presentations at trade shows, festivals and regional meetings; manage new item projects with cross-functional team.



Must be enthusiastic, have a passion for craft beer, be customer driven, results orientated and have the energy it takes to manage a large Division.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of field sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong interpersonal, written and oral skills with a history of consistently achieving goals. Related ingredients sales, marketing and field experience preferred. Ability to read and speak and Spanish a plus.

Must be able to work from home office and travel up to 70%.

Michael ScanzelloAfter graduating from Kutztown University in 1995, Mike began his career at Stroh’s Brewing Co. in Allentown, PA. Over the next 6 years Mike would hold several positions in both the QA and Brewing Departments. In 2001, after the brewery in Pennsylvania closed, Mike moved to Wisconsin, accepting a position with Cargill at its Jefferson Junction Malthouse. In 2007, Mike transitioned from operations management to the commercial side of Cargill’s malt business, becoming an Account Executive with its Specialty Malt Products Group. In July of 2015, Mike brought his talents to Briess and joined as the National Distillery Manager. In February of 2016, Mike was promoted to Director of Brewing and Distilling.
