Yesterday I had the pleasure of brewing a Pilsner at Georgetown Brewing with long time head brewer Mike O’hara.  We knocked out 18BBLs on their original 15BBL AAA Metal Fabrication brewhouse.  This brewhouse is now their pilot brewery and has some serious mileage on it, prior to moving onto their current 65BBL brewery they brewed 26,000BBLs on the 15BBL brewhouse.  Yep, do the math, that is cranking out beer.  The big brewhouse is the original 40BBL brewery that was the first brewhouse that Fullsail Brewing had in Hood River, OR back in 1987–Georgetown cut the tanks and stretched the sidewalls to 65BBLs.  Mike and I mashed in with 100% Briess Pilsen malt and hopped it up with Sterling hops, the wort tasted delightful.  I can’t wait to sample this beer in a few weeks, thanks to Georgetown for letting dust off my brew boots!
